El Mejor

Drove out to Richmond to meet some friends for dinner. We ordered some wings and choriqueso for an app 10/10. I always like to try wings at Mexican restaurants and they are always great. My friend ordered the molcajete and everything was super tender and it came with a house sauce at the bottom of it to give it extra flavor. It has a variety of meats and fried cheese and a cactus piece on it. Definitely big enough for two and unique! I ordered the carne asada. The flavor was great. I paired it with a michelada and it came out a little spicy. The service was great they were on top of it. The inside of the restaurant was gorgeous too, very colorful and cozy. Seats were comfortable, overall a good dinner experience.

Service was good for a larger party of seven. Food was great. I was the only person that didn't get the buffet. Ordered the quesadilla Hawaiian and it was delicious. Docking a star on the queso, though. It tasted okay, had the heat we wanted (we asked them to add grilled jalapeños), but had the consistency of water. I don't think I've ever had queso so runny! It was a struggle to keep any on a chip! My wife loved the churros. We would definitely go back! It was surprisingly affordable.

This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Richmond, KY. The chicken is moist and very flavorful. My wife says it's the only Mexican restaurant that has good tasting chicken for their dishes. The servers are always very friendly and take great care of us. El Mejor has a very colorful and relaxing atmosphere. We don't eat the buffet, but I'm not sure any other Mexican restaurant in Richmond has a buffet, which is a plus for those that like them. El Mejor means "The Best" in Spanish, and we think it is!

The buffet was pretty okay and the service wasn't super fast but the environment seemed super lively and upbeat. I'm not sure if I came in on a slow day but I would definitely go again

We have tried all the Mexican restaurants in Madison County and El Mejor is, by far, our favorite! It's located at the Old Richmond Mall (exterior entrance). They have a lunch-time buffet that is great. The service and friendliness is the best of any restaurant that we have ever been to. If you are looking for a restaurant that is a little quieter than others, great food, awesome prices, then El Mejor is the place to go!

I loved the fact that they played Mexican music! I love the original feeling of feeling like we walked into Mexico not many restaurants are so authentic but this 1 is! Thanks for the great experience! I loved it! Food is good, service is good, they actually check on you! I was impressed. We will definitely be back for the buffet next time! We didn't make it in time but that's okay, gives us something to look forward to next time! Thanks!

Wow, what a great place. 1st off, the chips are fresh and hot and amazing. It was a great start. Now the food was even better. Burrito Loco and chicken faitias were soo delicious and the bot plate is really hot! Watch out to not get burned, but this Mexican food was really good. Try it!

This is the second one away from mi pueblo 2 between these two Mexican restaurants they are the only ones I would recommend! The steak burrito was charred to perfection, The seasoning on that steak bouncing on my tongue baebey....mmm I'm just happy to find another Mexican restaurant that doesn't just only serve the Caucasian's in the community, but the people that actually like the restaurant's food to actually have good flavor. I like to taste the seasoning in my food. I highly recommend this establishment. It's chef's kiss
